CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — Just four days into the new year, Clarksville had its first homicide Monday night.

Just before 8 p.m., Clarksville police were called to a shooting at a home in the 800 block of Isaac Drive, according to a CPD news release.

They found 26-year-old James Brown (aka J.L. Bey), of Clarksville, who died at the scene.

The circumstances around the shooting were not released.

Police had no suspects late Monday night, according to the news release.

Victim ID'd in first fatal Clarksville shooting of 2016

On March 23, 2015, the Clarksville Police Department responded to 919 Carpenter Street in reference to a drive-by shooting. Multiple individuals were injured during the incident. Vincent Pardue (27) died as a result of his injuries.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – One man was killed and four others injured Monday night in a drive-by shooting while they were cooking out in the 900 block of Carpenter Street.

Clarksville Police were called to the home just before 9 p.m. to discover five shooting victims, according to police spokeswoman Officer Natalie Hall.

On Tuesday, police put out an alert for three black males seen leaving the area in a Kia Soul with a Tennessee tag R0393D.

The victims were Vincent Pardue, 27, Tony Greene Jr., 28, Quinton Fentress, 27, Timothy Russell, 31, and Dajuan Dowlen, 23.

Pardue died of his injuries, Hall said.

Greene and Fentress were taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for treatment. Their conditions were not available Tuesday.

Russell and Dowlen were taken to Gateway Medical Center. Both were treated and released, said hospital spokeswoman Benita Martin.

Friends said Pardue was a father and was just married over Christmas, according to Leaf-Chronicle news partner WSMV-Channel 4 in Nashville. Neighbors joined in prayer or an embrace on Tuesday as they grieved for him.

Leaf-Chronicle records indicate Pardue was a wide receiver for Clarksville High, Class of 2007. Dowlen was a running back for CHS, graduating in 2009.

1 dead, 4 injured in drive-by shooting

On April 25, 2012, the Clarksville Police Department responded to the intersection of Locust Street and Chapel Street and located James Stacker (26), who sustained an apparent gunshot wound from inside a blue Chevrolet Cavalier which left him paralyzed from the chest down. Three years later, James Stacker died as a result of his injury.

Clarksville, TN – On April 25th, 2012, around 1:00 am, 911 received calls about shots being fired in the Chapel Street area. Clarksville Police Officers in the area on another call for service also heard the shots being fired.

Officer Brian Coghill saw a vehicle near the intersection of Chapel and Locust Street rolling backward. There was a 26 old male partially out of the vehicle.

Upon further investigation, it was found the man had been shot and the vehicle had multiple bullet holes in it. Several shell casings were found near the scene.

Additionally, officers found that another vehicle and a house in the area had been hit by the gunfire.

The 26-year-old man was taken by Lifeflight to Vanderbilt, underwent surgery, and is in critical, but stable condition.

Clarksville Police Investigating an Overnight Shooting in Chapel Street area

Freeman was shot during a drive-by and sustained injuries in 2007. He died in the nursing home on December 5, 2011 as a result of those injuries and the Medical Examiner listed the manner of death as homicide.

On July 20, 2010, skeletal remains were located in a wooded area off Terminal Road, Clarksville Tennessee. The remains were ultimately identified as Navy veteran Steven Everett Davies and the Medical Examiner’s Office ruled his death as a homicide. Interviews revealed that Davies kept to himself and was living in the area around Terminal Road and also behind the Kmart on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) As part of a new effort this year to solve cold cases from the files of the Clarksville Police Department and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Clarksville-Montgomery County Crime Stoppers will revisit cold cases.

For the month of March, Crime Stoppers is looking for help in the death of Steven Davies. In July 2010 skeletal remains were found in the area of Terminal Road and were identified as those of Davies.

Police consider his death to be a homicide.

Davies was a homeless Navy veteran and spent a great deal of time around Terminal Rd. as well as behind the old K-Mart location on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. It is hoped that someone, possibly even within the homeless community who stayed in the area, may have some information about Davies or the case.

“We’re trying to get some information from anyone who might know anything about this case and this death, so we can bring some closure to this case and to the family,” said Kaye Jones, Chairman of Clarksville-Montgomery County Crime Stoppers.

Jones added that Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 leading to an arrest on a felony case and callers will remain totally anonymous. When a person calls in a tip on a crime they are issued a tip number and it is through that number alone how they receive their reward.

Crime Stoppers asking for public’s help solving 2010 homicide

On January 8th, 2009 Officers responded to a shooting at 3834 Marla Circle. The victim, George DYESS had been shot multiple times. DYESS was transported from the scene and ultimately flown to Vanderbilt where he later died.

On August 15, 2005, Victoria Ochoa (27) was reported missing in Clarksville by family members. On February 21, 2006, skeletal remains were located in an abandoned location on D Street. The skeletal remains were later identified as belonging to Victoria Ochoa.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Detectives in Clarksville are seeking the public's help in solving a homicide mystery.

Victoria Ochoa, 27, went missing in August 2005 -- and was discovered dead less than a year later.

Law enforcement says she was last seen at a BP gas station on Providence Boulevard.

Police say half a year later, Victoria's skeletal remains had been found underneath a mattress in an abandoned home on nearby D street, just about three miles from the center of town.

She left behind 4 young children who now are under the care of their grandma Sharon Costello who says Victoria was "a lot of fun, she was a very kind and caring person", said Costello.

Sharon says it's taken years to tell Victoria's kids about their mother's death.

Clarksville Police and Victoria's mother are asking the public for any tips that would lead to an arrest of whoever took the young woman's life.

"If they could please, please, please come forward, anybody that knows anything at all, heard it from someone, anything, if they could come to the police and let them know", said, Costello.

Clarksville Police reopen 2005 cold case death of Victoria Ochoa

Scott Dupree was last seen on December 31st, 2001. His body was discovered on January 1st, 2002 near Hilltop on Highway 149 in his white service van. The investigation revealed Mr. Dupree was the victim of a shooting.

Mr. Dupree was a U.S. Army veteran who worked as a self-employed electrician. He was survived by his wife and two children.
